Hi! I’m Tricia.
early riser. wellness enthusiast. book lover. continuous learning advocate
Welcome to my website.
I strongly believe that continuous learning is a driver for empowerment and can be a competitive advantage for organizations. Via this site, I will provide my perspectives on adult learning through my blogs.
Adults learn differently than children. One main difference is our experience – life choices, career, maturity etc. Learning is a natural, evolving process which begins within the learner and stems from the learner’s desire to interact.
For adult learning in the workplace, a learner-centered approach to learning that is focused on the learner and the learning process is effective. Instructional designers and facilitators need to know the basic processes and strategies used by learners in order to design and facilitate appropriate and effective activities and resources. The training program must be aligned with the goals and strategic objectives of the business.
You are welcome to share your comments, thoughts and ideas on any of my L&D perspectives or adult learning in general. Happy viewing!
